It is high time for a style update friends. I really put off my fall shopping and I completely blame the weather. I may be a blogger, but I don’t do fall fashion in August when it’s still in the 90’s. Since I started blogging, I’ve shared a spring and summer capsule wardrobe with you. They were hugely helpful in figuring out my style (still working on it), but I decided not to do a capsule for the fall.
I may or may not have fallen off the capsule wardrobe wagon. More like I was pulled off by some very tempting cardigans. My wardrobe is still not huge by any stretch of the imagination, but instead of focusing on a certain number of items for fall and winter, I am focusing on being warm. It is not uncommon for us to reach negative temperatures in Kanas City, so please give me all the layers.
Rather than bombarding you with all the updates I made to my closet all at once in the longest post ever, I decided to break them up into smaller posts. I hope you enjoy the new format!
Wife Mom Boss

This outfit has been the perfect transition for those crazy days that start out cold, leave you sweating by noon, and then end with cool temperatures again. It has also become my mom-running-errands-look, and I really hope my kids are paying attention. Oh, wait…they can’t read.
Graphic tee’s are so fun, and a great way to express some personality. They don’t always have the best messages on them, but this one I can get behind! Never in my life have I worn more hats than I do right now. From launching a blog, to starting a business, to working to be the best wife and mom I can be, this year has been a little crazy, but in a good way. And this graphic tee covers all the things. It’s also really affordable and comfortable. For reference, I’m wearing a medium.
If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ve been seeing a lot of pink lately. I’ve never been a pink girl before, but something about the shade of pink in this cardigan feels so sophisticated. The color makes it a little more interesting than the typical cardigan, and you can throw it on with just about anything. I’m pairing it with suede leggings (AKA the most comfortable leggings ever) from my most recent Stitch Fix (see what else I got here) and converse sneakers.
So, here’s to an outfit that feels like workout clothes, but makes you feel like a wife mom boss. Have a great week!

Shandy, I love this combo, comfy but stylish at the same time. Those leggings are really killer on you. I am a huge cardigan lover too, it gets mighty cold here and the layers are great. I am so into graphic tees, I love it when they have meaning behind them, like the tees from sevenly and other organizations that give back to a great cause with each purchase. I asked my daughter if I could wear converse, or if I was too old for them. You should have seen her face! LOL Love them on you, but she didn’t like the idea of me wearing the same style as her! LOL

Thanks Nikki! That’s so cool that there are graphic tee’s with a cause! I’ll look into those! And you are never too old for converse! 🙂
